The Year of Fulfillment 2025
Happy New Year 2025 to you all.
I have just gone through another Christmas 2024, alone and I expected a certain person not to show. I was alone with God. This is God's will. But God showed up instead. I was asking God for a word for the New Year of 2025 and felt I must continue to shine and fight the good fight of faith. I heard God say that 2025, is a year of fulfilment. War those prophetic promises. There is an evil spirit at work trying to make you go backwards. Don’t go back. Go forward into an unknown future with God. Even if you don’t know where you are going, keep walking. God shows you one step at a time. His word is a lamp unto your feet. Psalm 119:105 says Your word is a lamp for my feet, a light on my path. Therefore, keep moving, and taking those steps.
Fulfillment
This Christmas, I prayed for a prophetic word for myself as I felt excited for the coming year, 2025 and felt very strongly that this was a year of manifestation, that it would be a year of fulfillment in all aspects. What you did not see manifest in 2024 will manifest in 2025. God is faithful. Christmas Eve is the number 24, and Christmas Day is the number 25. I felt God say this was the year of delivery and fulfillment. I felt led to read Psalm 25 and the first three verses struck home. It is about battling disappointment. It is about hope versus disappointment. Our expectation comes from God. True hope from God not false hope from the devil. Our hope comes from God, not man. To confirm this Dr Sharon Stone also gave a prophetic word for 2025 and said it was a year of 'manifestation' and to read Psalm 25! She also said it was a year for the fighters. We must fight for what God has given us. I was so blessed that I was hearing God's voice right. I am in sync with God's prophetic promises. Therefore, we must put our trust back in God.
In Psalm 25, the first verse hit me, to first bring my life to him. This I did do, at the beginning of this year, 2025 and I prayed Psalm 25 and aligned myself with God’s word. This is a time to line up, show up, fight, and get the victory in prayer. As the psalmist says:
Unto You, O Lord, do I bring my life. O my God, I trust, lean on, rely on, and am confident in You. Let me not be put to shame or [my hope in You] be disappointed; let not my enemies triumph over me. Yes, let none who trust and wait hopefully and look for You be put to shame or be disappointed; let them be ashamed who forsake the right or deal treacherously without cause (Psalm 25:1-3, AMPC).
Expectation
Your expectation must come from God and that is what Satan is battling. He is attacking your faith in God, but this is the year that God comes through and is right on time. Your hope must be in God alone for this manifestation of the miracle to happen. Take your eyes off what you see in the natural realm, that is not manifesting yet. You will not be disappointed this year or put to shame, no, your enemies who have forsaken the right will, and those who have dealt treacherously with you will be ashamed (or hopefully convicted and converted to Christ). You will not be disappointed. The prodigals are coming home.
Effective Prayer
The prayers of the righteous are effective. James says that The earnest (heartfelt, continued) prayer of a righteous man makes tremendous power available [dynamic in its working] (James 5:16, AMPC). Your prayers are not in vain. Angels stand ready to act on your word that you pray in the spirit. This is a year of war like never before in prayer in 2025. God is a man of war. I hear some prophets saying this is a year of war in many aspects – natural wars, economic wars, and tech wars. God is working behind the scenes, trust him. Pray and decree His word. He is closing some doors and associations. A great door of opportunity for the gospel is about to open. It is a door that no man can shut. God is calling the Gideons, the David's, the Jehus, God’s gladiators to push back the forces of darkness trying to engulf us. He is calling the builders of His Kingdom. As I write, raging fires have broken out in Los Angeles (City of Angels) California and many wealthy celebrity homes have been burned to the ground. Some 12,000 structures have already been destroyed as well as whole communities. This horrific disaster is a trauma on an unimaginable scale. It is apocalyptic. News reports say that 25 people have now died and 24 missing. There are 180,000 people currently evacuated and living like refugees. Millions of pounds have gone up in smoke! Money does not save. Praying for rain and divine intervention to extinguish the fires. This fire is not God’s judgment as some are apt to think. No this is the work of evil and a result of evil rulers worshipping Satan in high places. Can it affect the weather? Yes of course. Baal is also known as the Storm God. But God’s prophets can also pray for the weather. The prophet Elijah earnestly prayed for, it not to rain (see James 5:17). No rain fell on the land for three and a half years. Then he prayed for it to rain again (James 5:18) and only then, the heavens supplied rain. His prayers were effective because he was a righteous man before God. California has also had an unusual spell of excessive dry heat in January. The Hollywood Hills have been ablaze. God’s people and his prophets can intercede and pray for rain. Your prayers are powerful. Prophets make declarations and predictions of what will be and change the spiritual atmosphere. God’s people are to tear down the high places of idolatry. This is warfare. Elijah was in constant battle with the false prophets of Baal. This is a time to call on God like never before. If necessary, go to the hills and pray. Cry out to God, your only help. The Lord watches over you. That is so comforting. As Psalm 121 says:
I lift up my eyes to the mountains—where does my help come from? My help comes from the Lord, the Maker of heaven and earth…The Lord watches over you (Psalm 121:1-2,5a, NIV).
Favour
I also felt led to read and pray Psalm 30. This is a year where your mourning will turn into dancing. I have mourned, grieved, and prayed over a relationship for over eight years now. I was praying about a longstanding situation where I have seen some breakthrough but not total victory. The verse about turning my mourning into dancing was really pertinent and spoke loudly to me. This is the year, God will break the cycle of mourning in many and my broken heart will dance with joy again. Sometime we go through the long night, a dark night, pruning seasons but the dawn is breaking. The Psalmist says:
For His anger is but for a moment, but His favor is for a lifetime or in His favor is life. Weeping may endure for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5, AMPC).
And again his favour is highlighted to me in verse 7
By Your favor, O Lord, You have established me as a strong mountain; You hid Your face, and I was troubled (Psalm 30:7, AMPC).
This is the year of extreme favour - double grace for your breakthrough. Great grace is upon you.
