REIKI - NEW AGE ALTERNATIVE HEALING IS FAKE

At the outset, I will say from a Christian perspective this alternative healing method, Reiki is an alternative to God's healing power. God himself says to Moses and to the people of Israel, "I am the Lord, who heals you.” (Exodus 15:26). It is a devious plan of Satan (Plan B) instead of God's (Plan A) to divert people from the true healer, Jesus.

Reiki is a form of energy healing that originated in Japan in the early 20th century. It was developed by Mikao Usui and is also associated with the Buddhist and Shinto spiritual traditions. Usui spent time in deep meditation, contemplating the universe. Reiki practitioners believe that they are channeling a universal energy, (referred to as ki or chi}, to promote relaxation and reduce stress. Relaxation in practice supports the body's natural healing processes. They pray and chant to a strange God they do not know. I get, what they are trying to do. Yes, we need stillness to heal our fractured bodies and souls. God says in Psalm 46:10, "Be still and know that I am God." In this stillness, we can hear his voice speaking to us or it can be just silent knowing he is there as we meditate on God in prayer. Reiki healers call it God, but it is not the true God. Our God is personal not some abstract universal spiritual force, and his personal name is Jesus. God's power is in the Holy Spirit. It is in his presence that there is power to heal. In the Old Testament God's name is also Yahweh. He is a personal God. He wants a relationship with us. He is the great I AM. He is everything you need him to be, your Healer, Saviour, and Lord.

Moreover, in tough times, people will be so desperate that they need anyone or anything to believe in. They will be vulnerable to false messiahs, false prophets, and their great signs and wonders. This is because Satan empowers human agents to work signs and wonders through them, before the people, to deceive them, just like he did with the magicians and sorcerers of the Pharaohs in Egypt and with modern-day psychics such as mediums and fortune tellers. They are tapping into the dark realm of Satan. Satan is out to destroy you, not heal you. He is a liar. The book of Thessalonians warns us against these false signs:

The coming of the lawless one will be in accordance with how Satan works. He will use all sorts of displays of power through signs and wonders that serve the lie, (2 Thessalonians 2:9, NIV).

In addition, let's not forget that God sent Moses to Pharoah, in Egypt as a deliverer to his people, the Hebrews enslaved in Egypt. He sent Moses as his leader, a shepherd, and Aaron, his brother who was his prophetic mouthpiece, with God's power in his staff as he obeyed God's command to free the people. God commanded Pharoah to let the people go through Aaron as he spoke up for Moses. Pharoah would not let them go and was defiant even though God multiplied miracles through Moses and Aaron in their midst. Moses confronted the powers of darkness, and the occultic powers of magicians, sorcerers, and diviners; those who were practitioners of the dark arts. God gave Moses some quick training in working supernatural miracles and the powers of God using his staff. He did not need a six-week Master class either. We can be quick learners if we are willing. He asks Moses. What is that you have in your hand? (Exodus 4:2, NIV). It was his staff. The Lord told Moses to Throw it on the ground (Exodus 4: 3, NIV). It turned into a snake and made Moses run back in fear. God said, Reach out your hand and take it by the tail (Exodus 4:4, NIV). Moses did, and then it turned back into a staff. All he had to do was trust God and obey.  As Christians, we have power over snakes whatever form they come in. This deception of Reiki is like a snake in the spirit, hissing its lies. May God's pen and truth in my hand swallow up that fake healing lie of Satan. The Lord will use what you have in your hand for his glory to do signs and wonders through your hands and set people free. What is in your hand? In mine it is a pen! After this short training school in the supernatural with God, he shared with Aaron what they would do and the miracles they would perform with God before Pharoah with the staff. In one scene, we see, that God's snake swallowed up the Pharoah's snakes. God turned the staff of Moses, into a snake as Aaron threw it down on the ground before Pharoah. In the Book of Exodus, we read:

So Moses and Aaron went to Pharaoh and did just as the Lord commanded. Aaron threw his staff down in front of Pharaoh and his officials, and it became a snake. Pharaoh then summoned wise men and sorcerers, and the Egyptian magicians also did the same things by their secret arts: Each one threw down his staff and it became a snake. But Aaron’s staff swallowed up their staff. Yet Pharaoh’s heart became hard and he would not listen to them, just as the Lord had said. (Exodus 7:10-13, NIV)

Notice how they did the 'same things' as Moses. It looks the same but is not from the same source. God's staff swallowed up the magician's staff. God's power is redeeming. Occultic powers of Satan are destructive. Master Reiki Healers are no different from the sorcerers in Egypt in Moses' day as they are channelling demonic powers, which they call 'energy' but it is not the Holy Spirit. It is witchcraft. Satan has power but it cannot overcome God's power who has all the power. God's power swallows it up. Can the devil do fake healings? Yes, clearly, but it is deception only to enslave that person's soul. A con. The occult is a category of esoteric, mystical beliefs and practices. The Latin word for 'occult' is occultus and it means 'hidden' or 'concealed' things. Therefore, Reiki is also part of the occult.

When it comes to occult practices the bible says in Deuteronomy:

When you enter the land the Lord your God is giving you, do not learn to imitate the detestable ways of the nations there (Deuteronomy 18:9, NIV).

We are living in days where God's signs and wonders will be multiplied even more, and God will require you to throw your staff down on the ground or whatever it is you have in your hand. I was called to a life of signs and wonders. One of the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit is the working of miracles. These are jaw-dropping miracles, like parting the Red Sea, or Jesus turning the water into wine, and are signs to the people, that he sent you to, and they prove that Jesus is alive.  Jesus does his miracles through us as spirit filled Christian believers.

YOU HAVE TO BE BORN AGAIN AND BAPTISED IN THE HOLY SPIRIT TO HAVE THE ENDOWMENT OF THESE NINE SUPERNATURAL GIFTS OF THE HOLY SPIRIT.

These extraordinary powers were given to us, to display His power and glory to reveal him to others. People need to know God is real. He is the only one with genuine healing. He has put it in my hands and yours as a Christian. Just step out and obey. God has given us power to trample on snakes and heal the sick.  Pick that snake up by the tail that you are facing.  Marks gospel says:

they will pick up snakes with their hands; and when they drink deadly poison, it will not hurt them at all; they will place their hands on sick people, and they will get well. (Mark 16:18, NIV).
